Image 1 — Clevatess S2 is becoming more interesting. It was slow for a while there with its weird pacing issues, but things are coming together now. The Lord of the North has laid his plans for long now, and the arrival of the Lord of the South might be their trigger—or their undoing.

This was the most sci-fi-heavy episode of the new Ghost in the Shell, and unsurprisingly felt the most like the 1995 movie of any of these episodes so far. It might be the best episode so far too, despite having less action than some previous episodes. It was pretty engrossing.

I was gonna make a post about the animation or about Fran-sensei again, or even get into the yuri stuff in I Want to Love You Til Your Dying Day, but it didn’t feel like the right time anymore by the time I reached the end of ep7.

I had a feeling this aspect would grow stronger in this anime. And I’m not talking about the yuri aspect either. This is gonna be rough. This episode was weighty, powerful, beautiful. I could tell a lot of care was put into to this episode.

This was probably the least funny episode of Grand Blue ever, but it was also really sweet. It’s stuff like this that makes me love anime so much. This idiotic anime, known (and loved) for its zaniness, suddenly can have moments like this. I love it.

Two things on the side: first, Sayaka Ohara as Chisa’s mom—nothing special, except her herself. I always love hearing her and will always give her a shoutout. Second, I do wish we’d seen more of the green-haired tanned girl when the gang was in Palau. She stirred a lot of things in me.

Well guys and girls…I think it’s gonna be tough. That’s what I think. I honestly didn’t see this coming in Love Unseen Beneath the Clear Night Sky. And I don’t know what’s gonna happen now. And I don’t want to think about it.

Somebody let Ariane get into the sake. Skeleton Knight in Another World is pretty ordinary, but it usually has one or two moments every episode that are really entertaining one way or another.

The dragon people really have an issue with the Hitogami. Mushoku Tensei is a bit slow right now, but it feels like it’s winding up to something. These breakthroughs they’ve been having with summoning are not an insignificant thing in the grand scheme of this story.

Kusuri might be the smallest girlfriend, but she’s the funniest in my opinion. Her verbal tic and silly tone and those wild outbursts and even the deadpan comments all get me rolling, and this scene had all of that. 100 Girlfriends never fails to entertain.

“Nano nano nano-da!!” Her little handsies are so cute. Kusuri was the star of this episode, but Nano had her moment in the spotlight, and it was hilarious (and adorable…and sexy). 100 Girlfriends finds a way to be wildly entertaining every week.

If Taira doesn’t fall for Azuma he’ll be the biggest fool in the history of anime. She completely overwhelms my thoughts. I love her voice so much. I love the depth we’re getting to see in her too, always trying to put a single label on her feelings. Polar Opposites is amazing.

Another amazing sequence from Daemons of the Shadow Realm. Left and Right are once again at the center of it. They get the best sequences and frames, and I’m here for it. This is an impressive scene all around, sound and music included.

Jaadugar continues to be fascinating. This is purely historical fiction, something you don’t see in this form in anime very often, much less about the Mongols and this pivotal moment in their role in history. “Renkinjutsu” is a harbinger of darkness for any anime fan.

Bankai? What a display of that awesome power in Bleach TYBW The Calamity ep4. I won’t spoil the biggest surprise, but I will say—a new voice actor for Captain Hitsugaya? That messed with me a lot. This anime continues to impress.

Tesstarosa standing like a rock before the pitiful humans who dare defy the great Demon Lord Rimaru. Damn this Slime anime has some serious badassery going on. It continues to remind us why it holds such a high place among isekai and anime in general.

“Yani didn’t do anything wrong, nya!” I can’t even commentarize on Yani Neko any more. Every episode is hilarious, cringy, spectacular. I adore these silly characters and I feel so bad for them and their plight. This is one weird anime but it’s so fun.

They hunted themselves a gold froggy frog in ep7 of The Exiled Heavy Knight. This show is a lot of fun right now. The animation aside, the drawings themselves are fantastic. Ruche is funny as hell, and her voice acting right now is hilarious. I’m a fan.

I really am enjoying Reiwa no Dara-san. The boob thing gets the most attention, but setting that aside entirely, it’s so much fun. Dara is great, the art is beautiful and fun, and the writing moves so easily between silly comedy and serious backstory. Dara’s a bad girl.

Did these two numbskulls finally figure out what literally everybody watching Trapped in a Dating Sim knew from like day 1? It took them one and a half seasons. Of course this zany display was the outcome.

Re:Zero S4 is back with ep12! Things are still pretty slow in the tower with Subaru’s memories all garbled, but it keeps your attention. We found out one important detail about the moment last season when Subaru got pushed off the ledge. It’s good to see everyone again.
