Humans.

Humans.

Humans create civilization. Humans create governments. They create institutions. They create religion. They create business. They form societies. They form systems and networks. They form infrastructure. They work jobs. They go to school. They destroy. They wage war. They kill. They take. They love. They give. They form relationships. They break relationships. They get born. They die. They think. They have morals. They have value. They decide. They have goals. They dream.

They do all these things for one thing and one thing alone: to reproduce. This is no different from their predecessor’s, bacterias’, biologically mechanical will to replicate themselves. It is but an algorithm formed by a couple of particles that ever so happened to come together in a particular way. Particles which are no different from any other particle in the universe, from any star, planet, or any other celestial object. No different from dust, sand, dirt, or air. Particles that follow behaviors, logics, and maths. Particles that do exist in a space.

That's it. The world is a simple concept. A simple concept of a world. A concept of a couple of rules.

Just a concept.

Just a thought.

Just a dream.

A dream about being…

Human.

A sort of performance arts "Bible"

In the short time I've been alive, and an even shorter time I've been a musician, I've found concepts from these books to heavily influence how I bring myself about as a musician. In my personal experience, many of the concepts holistically work together into improving my musicianship. These books together, I find, form a sort of performance arts "Bible". My purpose of posting this is to share my perspective on musicianship shaped and influenced by these books and their concepts. I didn't want to gatekeep my gains from learning about them.

There are many reviews and summaries online about each book, and I would definitely recommend doing some research on them as I have found doing so quite enlightening.

Here are some links to videos covering to a certain extent of each book:
