Unreliable performance on Sony TV with Xbox ally X
I got the Xbox Ally X a couple of weeks ago and I've been playing FFVII Remake at 900p with RIS running and it's been really good. I wanted to play on my TV at times so I got the Ivanky 14-in-1 and plugged it into HDMI4 which is 4K@120 with VRR.
The issue is, the performance is really unreliable, sometimes it's like butter, then suddenly it'll turn to rubbish, with tearing, stuttering, the framerate monitor still showing the same 70ish FPS but the actual experience is awful. I can reboot the TV or the XaX and it might get better, or it might not. Sometimes just pausing it to go for a drink can make the issue start happening.
If it was the cable surely it would always be bad, if it was the TV or the dock, surely it would be the same?
Just not sure if I've got some setting wrong somewhere or something. I'm really not much of an expert on all of the various settings that are all over the place when trying to boost performance, this is my first handheld.
