Put in a 1950s "Standard" New Compton toilet today

I picked up a 1950s Standard New Compton from Facebook marketplace for $70 in rough shape but not cracked. I disassembled everything. Flushed the bowl and rim channels with diluted muriatic acid using a sump pump, cleaned everything inside & out with acid, non scratch scouring pads, pressure washer, replaced all valves and seals, and put it in my bathroom. Works like a champ!

Would you quit over this?

I've been working as an apprentice for a new residential plumbing repair company for 8 months.

The pay seemed low when I started but there appeared to be a lot of potential for advancement since the company was so new. I was making $15 an hour.

About 2 months ago I started voicing that I was interested in being given more responsibilities and either an hourly pay raise or the opportunity to interact with customers to sell and earn commissions.

My boss (master plumber) said he was working on it, but none of this has come close to materializing.

Today the tension over lack of progress came to a head for me. I arrived at work this morning and asked if he wanted me to clear trash out of the van before we left the shop. He said "No, let's get to the first job".

Once we got to the first job, he started looking for parts in the van and found a shelf full of our urine bottles from the last few days. He complained about me not throwing them away (which I offered to do less than 30 mins prior to this), then took one of the urine bottles, loosened the lid, and sprayed me in the face with it.

I drove us back to the shop and told him best of luck after we finished that first job.

Would any of y'all have done it different?
