Job non-competes

Location: Florida

I’m a doctor in Florida. I work for a small private practice with another doc. I hired a lawyer but haven’t heard back yet.

My employer didn’t provide benefits as guaranteed in contract and also I believe there is some Medicare fraud going on from before I joined or foul play and I have a job offer within the noncompete (20) miles. Given these things I need to leave as I have a family and home for the other job. I later found out about the debt owed. Is there a chance this holds up?

Is this a correct use of profit sharing?

Hello I’m in the medical field and partially owning a business in the healthcare field.

I was an associate before but now structuring has to change and was approached with an offer but something sounds like it could go wrong.

Basically the current owners are going to give me my base + % of profit sharing. Initially I thought the extra % would be cash in my pocket from total-overhead.

The proposed offer is that the % isn’t money on top of my base, rather it is everything that can written off as tax deductions for the business being: cars, health insurance, certain bills, gas, electronics ect.

I feel like it makes sense to benefit everyone and the business however I feel like this could get complicated, all of my knowledge is medical and all of this is new to me. I am consulting with a lawyer this week however I would also like to gain knowledge from business owners.

I would appreciate any insight/input and discussion!
