Hi, I need to travel in Dec, and my current IRP is valid until the end of Feb.

I was wondering if I can submit my IRP renewal application while I’m still in Ireland and then travel between Dec and Jan using my current valid IRP, while the renewal application is still being processed.

Has anyone been in a similar situation or knows if travelling while the renewal is pending could cause any issues?
