US LLC owned by a non-US resident, selling marketing/publishing services—Stripe/PayPal banned us. What are our options?
Hey everyone,
I'm looking for some advice from other business owners or payment experts who have navigated this.
Our Setup:
- Entity: US LLC (Wyoming/Delaware, etc.)
- Ownership: Non-US resident (I have an ITIN and a US bank account).
- Niche: Digital marketing services (FB/Insta marketing) and book publishing services/book fairs.
- Ticket Size: $500 to $4,000 per transaction.
- Volume: Prior to getting shut down, we were doing around $30k–$40k/month, with projected growth to over $50k/month.
- Clients: Mostly US-based.
The Problem: Both Stripe and PayPal recently shut down/restricted our accounts (typical automated risk triggers for digital services/marketing agencies). We are now trying to find a stable, long-term credit card processor that can legally and reliably handle a US LLC owned by a non-US resident in our specific industry without sudden rolling reserves or account freezes.
I've been speaking with high-risk providers like Sooner Payments and Breeze, but I want to know:
- Which processors or high-risk brokers have you actually used and trusted for a similar business model?
- Are there specific underwriting landmines I should watch out for when presenting a marketing/publishing agency to high-risk acquirers?
- Any tips on getting approved smoothly as a non-US resident with a US LLC?
Appreciate any recommendations or insights!
