Are there different cues for gaited breeds?
I have a Quarter horse (in the USA). My boy's pasture-mate is a gaited draft cross. He can walk, pace, trot and canter. He has a very difficult time with trot-canter transitions. Pace-canter is much easier for him. With my non-gaited, I use cluck for the trot and kiss for canter. Do people who own gaited horses use a separate sound to cue for the other gaits? How do you cue the horse to walk-trot vs walk-pace?
