needs verification
Hi everyone,
I recently bought a copy of Pokémon Platinum on eBay and I’m trying to figure out whether it’s authentic or a reproduction.
Most things about the cartridge look fine to me at first glance, but there is one detail I’m unsure about: on the back, the “0” in the Nintendo/serial print looks perfectly round (more like a circle than the slightly oval shape I’ve seen in comparison photos).
I was initially concerned about this, but I was told that this alone is not necessarily a reliable indicator of a fake cartridge, since there can be variation between prints and regions.
Other than that, everything else looks consistent with authentic copies (label, casing, overall print quality).
I’ve attached some photos. Could anyone with experience take a look and let me know if you see any clear signs that it might be a reproduction, or if it looks genuine?
