40 [F4M] Phoenix, Arizona - looking for you.
Just going to let this all out as a stream of consciousness as I ponder what I want from this, or who I’d like to meet, rather.
First, I should share about myself so you can tell if you’re even interested, right? Right.
Do you ever sit down to think about who you are and you can only list things you do or roles you play for other people? Anyway, I’m a teacher, a single mom, a dog owner and a baseball enthusiast. Right now I have a small fish tank in my amazon cart because another responsibility sounded fun. I am also working on a degree at the moment to further my career in education. I really wish I was better at photography and had stuck with golf after high school. At just under 6 feet tall I am part of the “reaches the top shelf” club. My 40th birthday happened this year, too. It also came with a gray stripe in my hair that I have been showing off instead of hiding like I was when it first started coming in. On the subject of appearances, I’m plus sized for now; happily doing a lot to change that and doing so successfully. I don’t like binge watching tv, I hate horror movies, I like my music on the mellow side and with meaningful lyrics, I’m also *not a fan* of anime, 420, or right-wing politics. I have a lot more to say about a lot of that…
But who are you? My hopes are that at least a thing or two that I like you also like. I want you to be my new favorite person and keep that status for a long time to come. You live reasonably close, you approach life with warmth and a smile and rarely sweat the small stuff; you’ve got a lot of love to give. You don’t just put your own shopping cart back but sometimes you grab an extra stray and put that away, too. Sometimes, I’ll admit, I can’t get stuff from the back of the top shelf so it would be lovely if you could help with that. Hold my hand when there’s thunder and lightning (I hate it), and be just as excited to see cute dogs as me (they’re all cute). Don’t get frustrated at my accidental menacing behaviors like leaving a Diet Coke in the freezer too long or losing my work keys even though I have an air tag that I’ve been meaning to attach to them...
I hope this is clear to you that I am not looking for *just* a new friend or something casual or fleeting. If you ask me for a photo right away I will know you’re not the one for me. I long to get to know each other from the inside-out first. Ultimately, we’ll be obsessed with each other and our friends will roll their eyes.
It’s time for you to message me, if you’ve made it this far. We have road trips to take, national parks to see, and favorite no-skip albums to listen to and discuss.
