Bay Area Startup or Amazon SDE Job
I joined an AI startup in bay area as a software engineer three months ago and I like the work I am doing and the fact that I am getting recognition and ownership in my role here. Today I got an offer from Amazon for SDE role in Seattle (which I had applied to before I got an offer from my current company, and got an interview call last week). Amazon offers better salary and monetary perks than my current company. My current salary is 110k and amazon base salary is 130k (with 40k additional bonus for signing). I like my startup’s culture and my work but I am excited about working in a big company and the offer looks lucrative.
Should I keep working in the current company and get more experience before trying to switch or should I take the Amazon offer now? Is it considered a very bad thing to leave a company in three months time?
Advice please.
