If there was an OF for cats…

So we’re in heat. If there was an OF for cats, she’d be their poster girl. I got this beauty from someone on Facebook who wasn’t able to keep her and they didn’t know if she was fixed or not. The answer is NOT. They found her outside by a bush. I don’t know how old she is.

This girl is usually pretty skittish and temperamental. However, with her hormones, she’s loving everyone and everything (except my resident cats). She’s rubbing all over everything, rolling around and trilling. She wants me to hold her constantly, and she’s doing that little stomp with her hinds legs that every female does when they go into heat.

I am looking at cheaper options to get her spayed because I cannot afford the alternative at this point. She’s a good girl and I love her.

I took in another cute Siamese

Somebody was rehoming her so I offered to take her in. She’s skittish and temperamental and maybe a little feral. I’m working on getting her socialized. I am calling her Marshmallow. She’s sweet if I’m sitting or laying down but for some reason she attacks my feet when I’m trying to leave my bedroom. But I hope in due time that she can be around my other cats.

Fostering this beauty

So I started fostering for a local rescue and this is Clove. She’s part Siamese and I think snowshoe. She is such a lovey girl. I’m not sure how old she is, but my oldest resident cat is six years old and we think Clove may be older than her. Clove is timid and shy, but once she gets to know you, she’s the cuddliest cat. She loves to talk. Of you don’t pet her, she has this adorable gravelly meow and she has a set of lungs on her. She can definitely hold a note. She loves chin scratches, butt rubs, but don’t start at her head. She will run if you start with her head. And don’t disturb her in her strawberry. She will run if you try petting her while she’s in her strawberry. 🍓 She’s so sweet. She loves cuddles. She loves treats. She loves being around her people. She will be a wonderful addition to a family with older, calmer children and teens. Preferably with a family with people who can respect her boundaries. I’ve really enjoyed watching her come out of her shell.

So my sister’s cat had kittens 2 weeks ago. 2 days ago the mom got out and got hit by a car. There was only 1 remaining kitten. This kitten. We didn’t name it as it was going to be a foster

…(I finally decided to name it afterwards. It felt wrong to let the kitten pass way with no name. Its name is Speck)…

but we brought it home yesterday and I got KMR and bottles. I got a heating pad, a bed, andI set an alarm for every 2 hours to feed, stimulate, and cuddle the kitten. It was covered in fleas, had very little energy, mewed a lot, but it also pooped twice yesterday. I thought that was a positive sign. It seems it passed somewhere between 4 am and 6 am. I know 2 week olds are delicate and things can turn south very quickly….but I also feel so bad because I wonder if I could have done more. I had a vet appt set for today and I was going to have little one looked at.
