Three rainy days at Disneyland Paris with two small kids… and I’d absolutely do it again ❤️
I went into this trip knowing it was going to rain, so I thought I was prepared. Rain clothes? Check. Covers for the buggies? Check. Extra clothes for the kids? Check. I had a whole strategy.
What I didn’t prepare for was the mood rain creates. Not just for you, but for everyone around you. You could really feel the disappointment and frustration from people who only had one day and got hit with rain all day. Honestly, that made me very grateful we had booked three days.
The first two days were probably 50% rain and with two small kids… it was A LOT. But we pushed through and still managed to do all our must-dos. We ended up using a few fast passes because we really didn’t want to queue in heavy rain with children, especially for the popular rides (Frozen, Crush, Ratatouille). Worth every cent.
And OMG… Arendelle?! Amazing. Every little detail was perfect.
We stayed at Cheyenne. It was nice overall, but I really felt the distance. I knew beforehand there were multiple buildings, but when you add rain and tired kids into the equation, walking back and forth became surprisingly annoying. Also: next time I’m skipping breakfast included. Absolute madness.
Now for one of the biggest surprises: the characters. This was my 4th trip to Disneyland Paris, and I have never seen so many characters around. They were everywhere! Off the top of my head we met: Mickey, Goofy, Rafiki, Woody, Jessie, the Toy Soldiers, Peter Pan, Wendy, Gepetto, Merida, Rapunzel, Snow White, Mirabel, Thor, Loki, Captain America, Iron Man… and more through virtual queues. Absolutely amazing.
I also splurged on Royal Banquet after reading a lot of posts saying the food wasn’t worth the price. Honestly? I don’t know where some of you normally eat 😂 because I thought it was delicious. I ate until I was completely full. My kids are both picky eaters and they had these fancy chicken nuggets they absolutely inhaled, plus plenty of kid-friendly options.
The character interactions there were incredible too. Daisy absolutely stole the show and is officially my new favourite. Exploring the Disneyland Hotel afterwards was also really nice.
Now Agrabah… complete opposite experience. Very limited buffet, only a few things were actually good, and the cast members felt borderline rude. Would never go back.
Overall we had an amazing trip and I’m already planning the next one. I learned a lot this time around.
On day three we slowed down, relaxed, did a few extra rides, met more characters, and went home happy.
For us, three days was the sweet spot ❤️
