The first shock after doing an nbme

Been seeing A LOT of these posts recently, we’ve all been there!
Uworld gets you into the habit of overthinking and waiting for extra details that nbme questions just don’t give you
Nbmes are super vague yet so simple
It’s not about knowledge, it’s strategy
Ofc you need to have a solid base of knowledge (through uworld and thoroughly reading every explanation)

Your first, second or even third nbme is not an indicator of your actual score (coming from someone who got a 266 but 242 on their first nbme)

There is a learning curve while you’re learning to polish your thought process and clinical sense

I’ve been helping students with Step 2 prep for over a year, and I’ve found that breaking questions down together and focusing on test taking clues can really improve both scores and confidence.

Happy to answer questions or chat if you’d like to see whether my approach would be helpful for you!

We can also meet for a trial session (1 hour), we can discuss all your concerns and go over questions together
