I just had an appointment with the hip surgeon today. For background, I went to the doctor for a suspected labral tear. After a MRI, it was determined that it’s torn, and the arthritis is so severe that he wants to yeet the whole thing and do a replacement. I’m ok with that, but then he told me I won’t be able to do yoga anymore. I’ve been doing yoga for 40 years, and my heart is a little broken. I guess it is what it is, but this was devastating news.

Edit: thank you to everyone who responded! You’ve inspired me do more research, and I’m going to get a second opinion from another surgeon.
