Acquiring Business
Im graduating uni soon with a bs in finance (top uni in Australia) I have a heavy finance resume (Investment banking experience, and corporate finance), I tend to be really good with numbers and financials and so far I have saved 50k (aud) and could potentially get interest free loans from family giving me total capital of 200k.
I have been really considering acquiring a profitable business, make it operate without independent of me and still focus on my finance career but I have no experience in running a business or even the type of business to buy.
For my position, what advice would you give? Should I even buy a business? Should I buy a bigger business and taking on leverage and what type of businesses that are safe, profitable, and not owner dependent?
