Anyone able to share first-hand experiences of quitting without job offer?
Looking to read some feel-good success stories to give myself hope.
How many YOE do you have?
How long did it take you to find a new role?
Is your new role perm / contract?
Did you take a paycut? Or did you manage to get a pay bump?
How much time did you "rest" before starting the job hunt again? What activities did you do during your "rest"?
How was your mental health before you quit?
How many months worth of expenses did you end up saving before quitting?
Have you tried 3 to 6 month contract or temp roles? How crucial would it be to secure such a role before leaving my current role?
Any other advice or things I should consider before quitting?

context:
In the past, I had actually quit my job shortly after COVID "ended", with no backup offer. The team and boss were ok, but i wasn't doing well mentally cos of personal things going on, workload was high, pay was low. Ended up resting and casually doing course for 2-3 months, and interview prep + interviews for another 2-3 months before getting some offers that were only slightly above my previous job's pay.
Quite worried to do the same now, even though my current reason is primarily workplace harassment and residual trauma. This time round, I'm thinking to participate in a more intensive course as well as pay for industry-specific career coaching to hopefully position myself better.
Happy to read within this sub that at least people are encouraging others to leave toxic workplaces as long as they can financially afford it.
