Kids on e-motos on the Panhandle and Montour Trail
I was riding some bike yesterday, solid Z2-3 ride around the Montour and Panhandle trail. Little 28 miler to get something in this week before vacation tomorrow in OBX.
About 17 miles in I'm on the Panhandle trail riding toward Midway and see two kids on e-motos ride by at like 35 mph. One lookin like 15 year old Sisqo and the other like a long hair Stavros Halkias.
On my way back up the Panhandle-Montour connector, I passed them again, but this time they came up right next to me and Stavros kid yelled out some derogatory term which cannot be spelled out here. It might have startled me but he didn't realize I was wearing earphones, so I just kind of laughed. Plus I've been a fat cyclist for the better part of 15 years so I've heard everything.
Just wanted you guys to be on the lookout, I assume they'll get bored or get a drivers license or a job eventually or something but just wanted to put the word out, I thought they were peaceful the first pass but realized they're trolling folks on the trail.
To me it's just kids being kids plus I barely heard them but for some folks it might cause a crash.
