Worth upskilling to industrial electrical services engineering?

Qualified E&I tech earning ok money, (55k +van)

Found the theory side of my apprenticeship interesting, So was looking into opportunities to study. Came across a part time L7 in Industrial electrical services engineering that my company would be willing to put me through, (Not particularly beneficial to business but would lock me in for another 2 years, and retaining talent is difficult.

Just wondering would there likely to be many job opportunities following on from my trade or would I be jumping back to graduate roles and graduate wages?

Would we be crazy to buy this house?

Myself and my wife have rented a small 3 bed house for the last 5 years or so, We're in the process of moving out as we're renovating a derelict property at my home, approximately 3 hours away. Landlord has decided to sell and has approached us to offer us first refusal on the house as we previously mentioned a desire to have a base close to my wife's home. We'll have our renovation completed around Christmas, at which point, will be reimbursed for our costs, meaning we won't have any borrowings. Mortgage would be moderate for this property, approx 1200/month, but with joint income of 110,000 with an option to rent a room to cover part of it, it should be manageable. We're questioning whether it would be wise use of funds. Any insight or oversight on our part would be greatly appreciated.

Frosted Windows or Privacy Film

I'm talking bathroom windows, Are frosted windows still in? Architect I spoke to made the point that frosted windows actually draw your attention to the person sitting on the jacks. Is privacy film the way forward?

PAYE worker (Trade working in Maintenance) here trying to make some extra cash to keep up with the ever increasing cost of renovating a derelict house. The topic of a lack of availability of trades for small jobs often pops up, Fitting shelves, fixing leaky toilet cisterns etc. What's best way to go about picking up some of this work? Social Media, Flyers? Door to door? Any advice would be appreciated
