I’m completely new to guitar, I’m a drumset player and found an Epiphone Sg ebony and thought I’d take a crack at it. I put new strings on and watched the tutorials, I was in drumline in highschool so I know how to tune, but this is weirdly different. I had started tuning and I had figured out my low E, but as soon as I got to The second string my amp would barely pick it up, and any string past that is a whisper 10 miles away. Any clue how to fix this? I’m thinking it might be messing around with the knobs but I’ve been doing that to no avail. Thank you.

I drum a lot in my room, and my sisters room is about 10ft away, and I’m looking for really good soundproofing. I saw a video about how the cheap foam panels don’t really help, so I was wondering if any body knew about good wall panel that actually work well. Thank you!
