Having a difficult time finding a job
I got my A&P license back in October and still haven’t been able to land my first job in the field yet. I’ve applied to a lot of places so far and have gone through two interviews — one told me there weren’t any positions available at the time, and the other I just wasn’t selected for.
I’ve been reworking my resume and trying to improve it as much as possible. The frustrating part is seeing so many listings asking for 2+ years of experience when I’m just trying to get my foot in the door and gain that experience in the first place.
It’s honestly discouraging after spending two years in school, studying, testing, and finally getting my A&P just to struggle this much finding an opportunity.
Does anyone have recommendations for companies, MROs, regionals, or locations that are actively hiring entry-level A&Ps? I live in Florida and I was originally trying to stay somewhere in the South because of moving costs, but at this point I’m willing to relocate if it means getting started in the industry.
