How are you guys finding businesses that are willing to let you research about them? I’m planning to do an operations research event next year but I have no idea which business to do. Does anyone have any tips?
demographics: midwest, south asian, female, upper middle class, small charter high school
stats: 3.85 uw gpa (school doesn’t weight), 35 act, 11 ap’s by the end of senior year (all 4s and 5s so far)
intended major: finance or economics
ec’s:
-vp of finance of my schools deca chapter (100+ members) and raised over $5k total
-co president of my schools investment club, doubled membership
-took dual enrollment at a university and completed calculus 1, 2, and 3 by junior year
-nhs treasurer
-congressional debate co captain
-food shelter volunteer (120+ hours)
-worked as a cashier for a local coffee shop
awards:
-deca scdc 4th place
-icdc qualifier
-top exam score at icdc
-congressional debate semi finalist
schools: usc, emory, georgia tech, unc, umich, umiami, ut austin, uiuc, uva
ik i need more awards, but other than that is there anything i should improve on?
