I’m from Western UP, so I wanted to ask people here — especially those familiar with local caste history/social dynamics — what they think about these claims and this kind of data.
Are these ideas taken seriously in local history/genealogy discussions, or are they considered inaccurate/politically motivated?
Also, what’s the general perception and social position of the Jatav community in Western UP today compared to older times?
