Bug types do have a bad reputation, but they’re still my favorite type, and I think they genuinely have some of the best designs in the entire franchise.

Heracross is my favorite Pokémon he’s just a peak Pokémon design. He can be both very cute and badass. He’s based on an already really cool animal, the rhinoceros beetle, and he has a cool name that pulls from mythology, etc. So yeah, I just love this guy.

So this guy is basically a darker, older version of Peter who abandoned his no-killing rule and murdered Kraven and Doc Ock. He made his first debut in Amazing Spider-Man #500, where he gets killed by the NYPD.

I just love that jacket I’d want something like that in real life, but I don’t think it would look good on me at all. He kind of gives off CW vibes, like that era where superheroes didn’t actually wear their costumes and instead wore leather jackets or coats and stuff. Overall, I think it looks super cool.

So this isn’t the regular symbiote suit like Peter already went through the black suit arc. This is a artificial symbiote.

I never really liked the look of this show because it feels too bland. They don’t really use shading which gives it a pretty bland look in my opinion. The suit’s concept is cool, but I don’t like the design itself. I think the worst part of the design is that greenish white color they used for the suit it just looks really bad.

Gill-man’s design is a classic, and he’s my favorite Universal Monster. His design is a good balance between fish and human, even though he’s humanoid. One thing I love is the face it looks kind of goofy by modern standards, but I still love it.

I also want to talk about Milicent Patrick (the woman in the last two pictures), who designed the Gill-man, though we only learned that much later because the head of Universal’s makeup department, Bud Westmore, took the credit for himself. It’s basically a classic Bob Kane and Bill Finger situation.

I love Bug-type Pokémon they’re my favorite type, and I think they have a bunch of great designs. I don’t think it’s a hot take at all to say Gen 5 has the best Bug-type Pokémon. The top three generations with the best Bug types would be Gen 5, Gen 7, and Gen 8. All of Gen 5 Bug types are just great.

The costume designs and stuff like that in this movie were really over the top, but that’s what makes it really fun in my opinion. I like how the armor looks like muscles, and that helmet design is great too. I don’t know what else to say about the design it’s just awesome.
