Frustrated about planning for Parc Asterix

I‘m a bit frustrated and need a bit to vent. Sorry about that in advance. (Also English is not my first language and I‘m feeling guilty to be frustrated about this first world problem)

We will be staying for a week in a partner hotel from disneyland in july and will be visiting disneyland for 3 days. (It‘s a gift to our oldest for his 10th birthday to celebrate him getting into 2 digits)

My husband and kids are also big fans of Asterix & Obelix, so obviously we also will be visiting Parc Asterix for 1 day after Disneyland.

Now in the planning phase to work out the logistics, I came to find out, that it is quite difficult to work out a transportation for returning to our hotel.

In the summer, Parc Asterix will extend its opening time to 10pm and many shows like the main parade and the show with a real life boar will take place later in the evening or at sunset.

Unfortunately it is very difficult to get back from the park later in the night. There is a TGV, that directly connects from airport CDG to Chessy as well as a shuttle bus to Disneyland itself, but both will not be available later at night. (Last shuttle bus will be at 7:45pm and last TGV will be at 8:38pm).

So there are only 3 options:

  1. Pay an ungodly amount for a taxi/uber to get back to the hotel comfortably.
  2. Travel 1,5h-2h by RER from CDG with a tired complaining 10yo and a very cranky tired 4yo after a very long day deep in the evening with transit etc. (My personal hell)
  3. bite the bullet and leave the parc at 7pm at the VERY LATEST and miss the main parade and everything.

Either way, it is not ideal at all and it‘s just so frustrating. No matter how you turn at twist it, you can‘t avoid it, if you are not willing to go with the very costly option.

I wish, that there could be a shuttle bus from Parc Asterix, that would bring us on the train line, that brings us directly to the train station of Disneyland and we would‘nt have to travel for that long with hasseling transit with 2 tired kids that lte into the evening or having to leave that early.

(We are leaning towards leaving early just to avoid the hassle to get back, which is really sad to miss out on many wonderfull things)

Thanks for listening to my vent.
