Hi, I'm a mid/jungle main, Diamond 2 Elo.

I've been wanting to play top, especially since it's the lane I know the least. So I need your help on what kind of champions I should choose.

Let's say that when I play mid, I like to have champions that have a big impact in team fights, so I'd like to avoid split pushers like Fiora.

First, I thought about Renekton: he seems like a pretty safe and versatile pick, he can do practically everything and has mobility.

Or Darius, since the meta is favoring tanks, I'm already using him in the jungle to counter them, and he works great. However, I haven't played him much in top, and with mixed results.

Finally, I had my Ornn support moment, and I really like him as a champion.

Do you think these three champs are good for trying to toplane? Or should I choose others?

What's going on this season?

I'm a Diamond 2 midlaner.

How is it possible that this season all I see are stumpers and trolls? I haven't seen a serious support since the dinosaurs (I only see Lux/Brand/Morgana/Veigar). Let's not even talk about troll picks in ranked (ADCs in top and jungle, or crazy picks like this morning when I played with a support teemo and a master Yi ADC). Every game, I have to find my ADC dying within a minute (seriously: it happens in every single game), and I'm left with my Viktor in mid, crying, knowing I'll have to farm like an animal because my opponents are all ahead.

Really, it's becoming unplayable.
