I was getting severely frustrated with soypill’s naive questioning of lonerbox when I realize he doesn’t understand survivor bias. He doesn’t “see” all the lives saved through the arms deals and diplomacy and leverage put on Israel through democratic leadership. There are no bright billboards counting how many civilians are not killed on a daily basis or reckless Ben video showing Israeli surveillance following a terrorist to an isolated location.

It’s still really impressive how concise and cogent Destiny can be after days of debating on stream and VCs. My heart actually broke a little when he says at the end that the worst part for him is watching people he cares about get mindfucked by these communities because he has no control over people getting indoctrinated by a mass cult. It’s one thing to feel helpless to help yourself but it’s an entire other burden to be feel helpless to help your friend. Connor is feeling the same I’m sure on the other side but he has convinced himself what he is doing is helping when it’s only helping the snarkers.
