How much do people typically spend on a graduation dress?

I know it probably varies a lot, but I was just wondering what people consider to be a reasonable amount of money for a dress that probably won't get a huge amount of wear after the ceremony?

This is my second degree, and my first graduation ended up not being the greatest day, so I was really looking forward to having this one make up for it and be really special. I really love the whole house of CB style, and have been looking forward to the idea of getting a grad dress from them, honestly for the last 1-2 years (it's honestly what kept me going sometimes). But now that it's actually here, the idea of going and spending in the region of £200 on a dress just feels like a lot. I think I spent about £50 last time, and I did like that dress, but it was bought in a rush last-minute and probably wasn't the style I would have gone for if I had more time. I also feel like I'm finding it hard to find something in that price range this time.

I'm not someone who buys super expensive clothes normally, and I want to feel like I'm treating myself, but I also want to be reasonable. So I'd really appreciate a sense-check about whether £200 really is a lot for a grad dress

(also if anyone has any recommendations on brands with a similar vibe for cheaper, or any stores in London I can go and see, I would love and appreciate it!!)

Edit: I also recognise how this might come across. I know I'm incredibly fortunate to be graduating, let alone even contemplating buying a £200 dress, and I am very grateful for that. This is not a normal amount of money that I have ever considering spending on a piece of clothing before. I'm just at a point now where I feel like I've never had a dress that I really loved and felt really special in, and I don't know when I'm going to get that chance again any time soon
