Brain food!

Hi! I wanted to come on here and share something that helps my pup. My dog has taken levetiracetam for a few years but it’s the extended release so I’m not able to break it up. I started using coconut oil to help because of the lubrication, antibacterial and health benefits. However, on the epilepsy foundation website there are studies that proves coconut oil helps lower the risk of seizures by promoting brain health! If you try this tip make sure it is the cold pressed and unrefined as well as limit the amount for daily use. My dog has always enjoyed taking his meds because he gets a nice treat, I do like adding blueberries often as well as it’s another brain food but definitely thought the coconut oil tip should be more known! Let me know if anyone researches the benefits and/or tries it out for their pup! Sending positivity to everyone in this group 🤍

Dental anesthesia & epilepsy?

Hi! My dog is 6 years old, got diagnosed and put on meds about 3 years ago. He takes levetiracetam ER as his only daily med, (he has benzos for emergencies or preventative). It’s about that time to schedule him a dental cleaning, I’ve been communicating between the dental office and his neurologist to see the safest option. But I was curious if anyone can share their experience with their dog undergoing anesthesia with epilepsy. My dog has only had anesthesia when he got neutered as a puppy so he has no other experience under. Thank you in advance 🩷

This happened a few weekends ago, Borgore has been my favorite artist for years and really was my starting point for edm. I was so happy to finally go to one of his shows, awesomely enough the photographer saw my birthday sign on my phone and let me come around to take a shot with Borgore! He gave me a birthday shoutout then played decisions (iykyk) 🥹 I got to take a quick pic with him afterwards! Very grateful and such a considerate artist🙏

Had so much fun at Needle Rock and Box Bar this weekend with my doggy & friends 💞 we all got eaten alive by no-see-ums but worth it!! The spider pictured I believe is a crab spider, it was super docile and just waking up after a nap in one of our chairs😆 last photo is our tent set up!! We had a generator, lights and a standing speaker. There’s a hidden critter in the water of the rock circle picture👀 can you find it?
