Need advice on forbearance during buyback processing after income recertification.
My servicer is EdFinancial. I have 11 months of employment eligible for SAVE buyback. I reached 109 payments on two of my loans, in Feb and Mar, and recertified employment and applied for buyback specifically for those loans. The rest of my loans reach 109 payments in July. After income recertification, my monthly payment went up almost 3x starting in June. If buyback is eventually processed, will I be refunded the amount I overpay on the first two loans (I have enough savings to cover the two months of higher payments but would need to reimburse my savings asap), or should I enter forbearance for those first two loans immediately? The whole thing is just so obscure I don't want to mess any thing up by changing the status of some of the loans. Does anyone have advice for me? TIA!
