I understand the reasoning to why free summer programs are always more logical to apply and attend to but im curious if paid programs (not like 10k+ more like sub 3k) that are also somewhat selected would have a negative impact on my college application. For context, not that my family is filthy rich, but it would not greatly impact our financial situation.
