Asking for reddit wisdom to help me replace my current setup with an UST + ALR, any experience appreciated.

Current setup
I have a room that can't be properly light-controlled. There is a big bright window on the left side closed with blackout curtains that is enough to comfortably watch most movies but plenty of light still leaks.

Currently, I am using an Epson EH-TW7100 (3k lumens, pixel shift), on a 120 inch piece of white wall.

The main problem is ambient light from the window. The second problem is connecting my audio system via eARC to the soundbar having the projector 6m away from the soundbar (proper cabler routing needs 20m in one direction and a lot of suffering).

Potential solution

I've been thinking of buying a Fresnel ALR screen (flipped upside down) and mounting an UST projector to the ceiling. Then running the cable to the soundbar beneath the screen. The budget is within ~5k euro (5.8k usd).

I do not care about light from the ceiling, I have direct lights, I don't direct them to the screen and I turn them off when it's bright outside. The only real light source is from the window that's ortogonal to the screen and located about 2 meters (6.5 feet) on the left from the screen.

I only consider Epson (3lcd) because I am extremely sensitive to the rainbow effect. Can't deal with it especially when it's white subtitles on the black background. WRT valerion I've heard that there is laser speckle. I am confident I will not be happy about that too.

The choice #1

LS800W for 2230e (2600 USD), it's 4k lumens with pixel shift OR

LS970W for 3300e (3861 USD), it's 4k lumens AND a native 4k. Specs state that the contrast is twice higher but I don't think how to interpret these numbers wrt a projector.

The choice #2

Which Fresnel ALR screen to get?

  1. https://www.valerion.com/eu/product/fresnel-ambient-light-rejecting-screen?screen+size=120%27%27&image=0 (this is a long throw screen)
  2. https://nothingprojector.com/products/nothing-projector-120-inch-fresnel-optical-screen-for-ultra-short-throw-projector
  3. https://nothingprojector.com/products/fresnel-optical-screen-for-ust-projectors?variant=41761753202824 (this could be the same as the previous link, the website is confusing)

I have heard of Fresnel ALR made specifically for the ceiling mount but I couldn't find those from the reputable sellers.

Any non-toxic advice is appreciated.
