hey guys, i’m trying to decide between schools and could use some advice. my two options right now are UCSD and UCI for engineering. if i go to UCSD, i’d have to live on campus/nearby all four years. for UCI, i’d probably dorm my freshman year, but after that i could commute since my dad lives in orange county (about a 20 minute drive). cost wise, UCSD would leave me with about 25k in debt total after four years, while UCI would be around 8k per year if i lived on campus. i also got waitlisted at UCLA, and if i get off the waitlist i’m going there no question, but for now i need help choosing a backup. thank you !
