I've been apartment hunting for a few weeks, and whenever I come across a review, it's clearly written by the apartment management, with "great tours" or 5 stars on Google. Most of the reviews aren't specific to describe the actual living experience, and the past few apartments that I've lived in have been terrible because of how inaccurate the reviews are. They would often be "Luxury Apartments" and a "safe area". They would also be written by someone who created a Google review account a month before writing the review. Has this ever happened to any of you all? What factors would help you decide to pick a certain apartment? Would a tool that flags suspicious fake reviews be useful to you when looking for an apartment?
