My mum has been suffering with back pain for about 2 years now. It was then put down as a bulging disc. However a recent MRI has shown multiple spinal compression fractures and wedge​ fractures and was diagnosed with osteoporosis.
My mum would be a fit healthy woman, very independent and active. However over the past few months I have watched her deteroite and become weak and basically unable to move much. She is in so much pain and it is extremely hard to watch. Her gp has prescribed her with a high dose of co-codamol which is barely scratching the surface for her. And risedronate which is meant to help with bone density. She isin absolute agony 24/7 and it is very hard to watch my beautiful strong, happy mum become stresed, sad, depressed and in severe pain.

Basically what my post is asking for advice from anyone else who has had this. Will it get better? Are there any other ways to manage the pain? And if anyone has experienced this. Where do we go from here 😪
