Seems like it is an issue in some new releases is affecting a bunch of people.
For me on multiple different builds it was actually consistently taking 3minutes, and acting kinda dumb.

all of them fixed with downgrade to 4.23
1st step:
npm install -g openclaw@2026.4.23

2nd (not sure if necesarry actually)
openclaw update --tag 2026.4.23 --yes

3rd
openclaw doctor --fix

4th
opeclaw gateway restart
