Hello people,

I recently acquired an Xperia Play HDMI TP (prototype), and unfortunately the HDMI port is not working. The phone appears to be running retail software, so I suspect the original prototype HDMI drivers and related software are no longer present.

The device reports:
“Bootloader unlock allowed: NO”

Because of this, I assume creating and flashing a custom kernel with HDMI drivers from a similar Xperia device (like the Xperia Arc) may not be possible, since the phone will probably only accept signed kernels/firmware.

I’m wondering if anyone here still has an Xperia Play HDMI prototype with the original firmware intact and the HDMI output still functioning.

If someone does, maybe we could:

• dump and preserve the original firmware/kernel
• possibly restore HDMI functionality on my device
