I am the developer of zerotap, an Android app that does things on your phone for you. For example, you say "Ask Tom on WhatsApp if he's free for a beer tonight, and if he says yes, add it to my calendar", and it writes to Tom, waits for his reply, and creates the event.

A year after the first release, I have decided to make BYOK (Bring Your Own Key) mode free, so you can use your own OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, OpenRouter, DeepSeek or Ollama key, with no fee and no limits.

You can also turn on Jev, a fast decision model on OpenRouter, which made tasks up to 2× faster in my tests. Feedback is very welcome!

We have been building opchat for the past few months and wanted to share it because I think a few of you might find it useful.

What opchat does:

It allows to create your own AI personas with your existing ChatGPT account (no API key needed - it uses Codex, the same auth method that OpenClaw uses), own keys for Claude, Gemini, OpenRouter, Ollama, or any custom OpenAI-compatible endpoint. Or skip all of that and run models fully on-device (Gemma-4, Qwen 3.6, etc.) with zero internet. Image generation is also included!

The app is fully private when you want it. On-device mode means nothing leaves your phone.

It has been a while since the last update on zerotap here. First of all, thanks for all the comments on my previous post and the suggestions you provided.

I just wanted to announce that we recently added Codex support in zerotap as an additional option alongside BYOK. Since Codex is now free in ChatGPT, this means you can use a ChatGPT account to control your Android device. This is the same authorization method used in OpenClaw.

Hope it helps, and I would be happy to hear about other improvements and features you'd like to see in the app.
