I need help
Like I said, I got scammed on a freelance gig, so now I'm starting a new job with a US client I found on Facebook. Can you tell me how to write a contract so I don't get scammed again? I live in egypt

I worked with a US client (Luis Gonzalez) on a $900 design project with a 50/50 payment structure.
After I delivered the first half, everything was fine. In the second phase, he started adding extra revisions outside the agreed scope.
We had a call and clearly agreed that these would be the final revisions. I even agreed to reduce the total to $800 for future work.
After I completed all agreed work:
- He requested more changes that were not part of the agreement
- I refused since we already agreed on final revisions
- Then he said I would only get $120 instead of paying the remaining amount if I didn’t continue extra work
This was never part of our agreement.
As of now, he has not paid the remaining balance, and even the $120 he mentioned was never sent.
I have full proof including:
- Notion task board with agreed scope
- Figma file of the completed work
- Full conversation showing the payment refusal and conditions he tried to impose
Just sharing this as a warning for freelancers — always lock scope and payment terms properly.
