Bat Exposure 1 year ago - vaccine recommended?

I live in an old converted farmhouse with two levels that are not connected. I climb outdoor stairs to the 2nd level where I sleep & cook. The 1st level is my wfh office.

About a year ago I was working really late (2am) in my downstairs and a bat suddenly started flying around the ceiling. I freaked out, ran outside, went upstairs and went to bed. When I went back in the morning, the bat had disappeared. This happened again one month later.

Ever since then, I stopped working late downstairs and have had 0 bat encounters within the last year.

I just read about bats carrying rabies more frequently than other animals. Should I be getting the vaccine for an incident 1 year ago? How worried should I be that bats sneak in during the night? I have no clue how they get in
