[Update: a helpful commenter sez the tent's for a VisArts charity auction] Could this be a movie set? The trailers say "Luxury Restrooms". I've seen that large tent there for a week now. Saturday, I heard someone talking inside the tent. Also, the back door to the former thrift shop building is wide open. A tangential point: many of the charity thrift shops in rva are boondoggles. The 90% rule: VA law allows a thrift shop to collect donations under the banner of proceeds going to the affiliated charity. But here's the fine print: Only 10% of sales must go to that charity. So the mega profit-making entity pockets 90% from a store such as Fan-tastic that rang up many $$$ thousands weekly. (But I don't believe Diversity Thrift operates this way).
