Lateral Raise Inquiry
Hi, M19 here, and i wanted some more advice on how to do lateral raises.
As of what ive heard, higher reps and control is more important for raises as opposed to just weight.
Ive been doing 4 sets of 14 with 6 kg dumbbells for that reason, with 3s descents + 1s holds at the top when i can.
My strategy till now was to increase reps when i feel confident in doing the set till about 18 reps per set, and then reduce reps im return for a higher weight.
But the question is- most of the AI chats, internet searches, and random instagram reels info seem to be saying that i should feel the burn in my lats at the end of each set.
However, i feel like im working towards failure more than a burn-
Should i be increasing my rep range with a lower weight? I would appreciate some help.
