Please help me know what to ask for from a housekeeper!
Hello, all! I am in desperate need of help. I have a rather large 5 br 4 bath custom home that was built by my father, and my elderly mother and two adult daughters live with me.
We have tried various systems over the years but we all have ADHD and struggle with clutter and housekeeping. We had hired a wonderful couple a few years back to help organize our belongings and they did an amazing job. Unfortunately we are back to square one, and I realize we need to hire a housekeeper on a regular basis to maintain our home.
Because we struggle with clutter and organization, (meaning we need someone to help us tidy a bit) in addition to a basic cleaning, what should I ask for and what should I expect? I don’t need the house to be sterile, but a basic clean and tidy.
My oldest daughter will be paying for this in lieu of rent, but I don’t know how often to have someone come, or a very general idea of what something like this would cost.
Is this a realistic option? I don’t need laundry service, or expect dishes to be done, just helping prevent the random clutter from piling up.
