Thinking of upgrading from S22+ to S25 worth it? Need your honest opinions
Hey everyone, long time S22+ user here. There's a promotional deal running in my country right now and I'm seriously considering making the jump to the S25. But before I spend the money, I want to hear from people who've actually used both.
My S22+ has been getting noticeably sluggish lately, I'm pretty sure the recent software updates are partly to blame. It's not unbearable but it's definitely not the smooth experience it used to be
Also, the S22+ is honestly just too big for my hands. I've been wanting to go back to something more compact, so the base S25 is actually appealing to me on that front too. Would love to hear from anyone who made a similar switch size-wise, do you feel the difference and is it a comfortable daily carry?
A few things I specifically want to know:
Heating: S22 (especially the Exynos variant) had a reputation for running hot. Is the S25 significantly better in day-to-day use?
battery life holding up? Any noticeable improvement despite the smaller size?
Lag & performance: Does it actually feel snappy after months of use, or does it slow down again after updates?
Green line issue: I've seen some posts about green lines appearing on S22 displays after updates. Anyone on S25 experiencing anything similar or is the display more reliable?
General experience: Anything you wish you knew before switching? Any regrets?
Not looking for spec sheet comparisons, I can Google that. I want real daily driver experiences from people who've lived with it.
Is the upgrade worth it or am I better off just waiting for a better deal?
