RHCSA exam in Nigeria costs almost double through an authorised vendor, despite the official $330 price. Is this normal?

I’m currently studying for the RHCSA (EX200) and was planning to book my exam. However, I’ve run into an issue with purchasing the exam voucher in Nigeria.
I initially tried purchasing the exam directly through the Red Hat website, but my shopping cart kept emptying whenever I logged in.
I contacted Red Hat support, and they explained that due to regional restrictions, candidates residing in Nigeria cannot purchase exams directly through the online store. Instead, we’re required to purchase through an authorised local Learning Partner, Virtual Nigeria.
Red Hat’s email also confirmed that the standard EX200 exam price is $330, excluding applicable local taxes.
However, after contacting the vendor, I received the following quotation:

Exam voucher: ₦697,500
VAT (7.5%): ₦52,312.50
Total: ₦749,812.50

Depending on the exchange rate, this works out to approximately $500–$600, which is considerably higher than the advertised $330 exam fee. Dollar to niara exchange rate at the moment is 1,310-400 = $1
I understand that there may be regional pricing differences, currency conversion costs and administrative fees, but the price difference is substantial.
What’s particularly frustrating is that candidates in Nigeria don’t appear to have the option of purchasing directly from Red Hat, leaving us dependent on local authorised vendors.

Is there any possible way around this ? Because I would really like to take the exam, but i genuinely can’t afford to pay double the price.

Is this normal ?

So I been on Strattera for a year now. And I like it. Totally changed the quality of my life impulse is reduced self control and emotional regulation was able to process things and learn things too less food noise and be more consistent even when I don’t want to. I was on 80mg at first but it was messing with my heart so we split it in two. When I was on 80mg it made me so horny. So I have split it in two. Doses. 40MG in the morning and afternoon. And it still works as fine. Just less stress on my heart. And I have periods with no anxiety. But sometimes it still there like when I want to drive or go to social events. Which I asked my doctor about propranolol haven’t gotten a response yet. They also said I have some autistic traits, prior to this diagnosis I was diagnosed with Anxiety, PTSD and depression, but the meds help with all that. No when I have no anxiety I have these of I am a God. I try to tell myself hey calm down and ignore it, but I am also concerned that it may be more than that ? because I do like the medication a lot. And don’t want to stop it. I tried 50mg of Zoloft before but one dose just made me horny too and Made me wake up in the middle of the night to do laundry and wash dishes. And nausea was just too much. But my question is should I be concerned or is it just an intrusive thought and should I ignore it. I do have a great sense of self in general I love myself and I do think I am cool on a normal day and just feel do they know who I am but I try to keep it together but sometimes when I have periods of no anxiety the thought creeps in like I am a God and I tell myself hey calm down. Because I also had a period of intense stress where I had a lot of mood swings high highs and low lows and wasn’t really sleeping as much in 2024 (and was suicidal even though I didn’t want to do it )where I felt like I was loosing my mind and was concerned I might be bipolar . But I have been pretty mentally stable since I started Strattera.

Is this a cause for concern or something I should look into ? Or just intrusive thought or just a side effect of believing in myself? Or just another way ADD shows up in women which I have read is common. I also don’t get sooo depressed before my period anymore. Like I can handle my emotions and function like a normal person on Strattera.

Propranolol

Hi all,

Been on Strattera for a year now and it’s great, I have periods of feeling zen Asf and no anxiety. But I have an elevated heart rate a lot of the time. Done alot of tests with my cardiologist and they said it’s fine no need to put my on beta blockers that she doesn’t want to except she has too and how long would it be for. I have been reading about propranolol and how it helps and also helps with anxiety because I also don’t want to get on SSRI’s although I was prescribed one before in the past. The side effects were quite a lot. I feel like talking to my psychiatrist about getting on this as it would help my heart rate and possible anxiety. I get anxious before driving and sometimes feel shaky afterwards even socially and seen people say it helps with this. I take l theanine sometimes but my heart still feels jumpy. I also don’t want to stop taking Strattera as it has made my life soo much better. I love it actually. I honestly want to try the beta blockers because the high heart rate makes me feel anxious even when I am not. I acc had to split my 80mg up into two doses because of this.

Are there any side effects ?

Any suggestions/ ideas would help and experiences too.
