[Tech Support] - Understanding Audio Types / Headphones
Hello! I'm writing this post in hopes that someone will help me understand what type of audio I prefer and what to look for SPECIFICALLY in headphones that I like that make the audio sound the way it does.
I currently own the Hyperx Cloud Stinger Core headphones.
I use it out of the box, no software, no tweaks, nothing.
The audio sounds very straight forward, like it's going directly INTO my ear rather than AROUND my head (surround sound I think?), but I am more than capable of pinpointing directional audio despite it not sounding like I have surround sound on??
I recently ordered the Hyperx Cloud II's - Out of the box they sounded AWFUL. Audio didn't sound like it was going IN my ear, it sounded like it was going AROUND my ear, and I was just kind of "hearing audio" from a distance if I had to describe it??
I have basically always used the Hyperx Cloud Stinger (wired) or my current Cloud Stinger Core (wireless)
Is there something specific that these two headphones have in them that make them sound better to me?
What other headphones (higher budget, wireless, better battery, etc) should I look into as a replacement for these that would sound similar / better (without the audio sounding like it's not going in my ear)
Thanks 😄
Sorry,
