Confused in what career to choose and follow.

myquals I am 18m recently finished my class 12th.

I come from lower middle class family(low funds for future) .I've applied for my state University, for bcom hons. Also have filled an application for Bca in a tier 2 pvt university................................................................ I am very confused about what to do, people suggest bcom is a useless degree, so I thought I'd manage with learning multiple skills and doing internships. I have already started learning excel, will start PowerBl and python and do some projects. And try to learn a lot of skills to be employable using LinkedIn , But people keep telling me these skills are very basic and everyone knows that. ( Which eventually tells me that maybe I should not follow this plan? )...................................................................... Okay. I decide to shift to bca or bsc in data science and Ai for future proof career. Also with these I decide that I'll learn python and other skills and use GitHub. Now people tell me that first year btech student will destroy any bsc or bca student and they usually dominate the industry. What am I supposed to do at this point if every industry is dominated by engeneering students?.................................................. I simply want to earn money in whatever field it is, coming from a lower middle class family I would do anything to have immense wealth, and I do not wish to pursue average life style. I want to atleast achieve the top 2% . If anyone can give any sort of advice or information it would be very helpful.............................. . . Also I know about professional courses like Acca, Ca , cfa it's just that I do not want to do those, no interest in intense accounts.
