Suffering with acid reflux, are there any other options in UK?

I'm in the UK and the NHS won't give an iron infusion unless you're literally dying. I've been prescribed ferrous fumarate 210mg once a day. My ferritin is 5. I suffer with acid reflux and take Omeprazole. I know this is probably why my ferritin is so low, but I cant come off it because I'm still having issues with acid and the doctor wont do anything to help. Anyway, every time I take a tablet I get painful reflux for the rest of the day. I tried to speak to somebody about it (pharmacist) and they just told me that all iron tablets cause heartburn and that I should just take it every other day but also take ot with orange juice to help absorption. I cannot drink orange juice because it's too acidic! I've just barely managed to get my stomach feeling better after making big changes to my diet and avoiding anything that triggers it and now I have to wreck my stomach again. Are there any other options in the UK? They won't give me an infusion and if I paid for one privately it would be insanely expensive.
