A friend of mine told me they found some chert nodules that were fluorescent at a local creek, so of course I had to check it out. I need to work on getting better pictures but there were a fun surprise.

Just got back from Minnesota and started going through the stuff I collected. Found lots of calcite in sandstone and basalt.

I was out exploring my usual spot for iron and quartz today and came across something different in the creek. I wasn't expecting this one.
