Searches…

Hey all,

FTB with no chain, and the seller also has no chain.

Offer was put in on 2nd of August and was accepted on the 3rd of August.

Searches were ordered on the 11th of August and we have a surveyor going to the property on the 26th. So all is going smoothly at the moment (considering we waited 13 weeks for previous vendor to have a viewing before we pulled out). Our solicitors have been very good and efficient.

Just wondering how long these searches take? And what to expect next?

Vendor not found anywhere

We’ve had an offer accepted on a house back in May, and the vendor still hasn’t found an onwards purchase. It’s been 6 weeks and I know these things may take time but apparently they have quite strict criteria to what they want.

Because of this we have been advised to put everything on hold and we haven’t even done any of the searches etc and my worry is that our mortgage offer will expire.

What options do we have here?

AIP agreed but worried it’ll fall through at the application

I’ve just got an AIP. I’ve got a CCJ ( 4 years old and settled) and am a FTB. Me and my wife earn around £63,000 a year. All credit files sent to broker

Spoke to a broker and she got us a AIP but I’m so worried it won’t go through. She has reassured me but anyone had any in similar instances?

I’ve sent my broker all our credit files and payslips. And we’ve paid rent and bills on time historically

What are the reasons it could go wrong?
